Snow?
Georgia... I have to hand it to you. *Real* snow!
Normally I hear about the 'threat' of snow a week beforehand. Every day people are throwing around percentages. There is so much hype as the day approaches, and then all we get is a few flurries and ransacked grocery stores. (Much like the attempt earlier this year)
This snow caught me totally off guard, with only an email from Justin telling me to 'look outside'. The weather had been warming up, I thought winter was coming to an end, and here we suddenly have more that I've seen in Georgia since 1993!
We walked around all morning, snapping plenty of pictures. The trees were so beautiful.
We spotted this tiny snowman on a car during our walk. Later, as we were running some errands, I saw a very similar snowman on the top of an SUV driving down the road! I don't know how he was staying up there, but with his arms sticking straight out from his sides, he looked like he was enjoying the ride ~ "Wheeeee...!"
But, I don't think any of the snowmen compared to our mo-hawked rocker ~
We didn't leave the guitar controller out there, but it was necessary for the photo shoot! His hair began to fall out as he melted, but we saw some teenagers come by and fix his do. Nice to know he was appreciated! Now pretty much all of the snow has melted, but we do still have a snowman butt & half of a middle sitting outside of our window to remind us.

Watch where you roll
This winter I've been keeping the space heater by my side, and as a result, I have to be very careful as I sit in my office chair. This is why...
We actually rearranged the furniture recently, pulling the desk out of my workroom and into the living room. I haven't seen him on my wheels since then, but I think that has more to do with the warming temperatures (though he still enjoys the electric blanket at night). We talked about moving the desk out to make room for the crib in the future, and I got so excited by the prospect of being able to use the *good* computer in the evenings, that we went ahead and made the change. (The 'bad' computer being our laptop, which takes 25 minutes to go from off to online ~ I've timed it)
And it has certainly come in handy this week! For the last three weeks I have been bombarded with orders ~ a nice change after a slow year. Last night I worked all the way up until bedtime on ambigrams & emails, trying to make sure everything due at the end of the week gets done in time, and will probably spend most of tonight doing the same. But after that, I think everything will be back to a nice, manageable level, at least for now!
We have put aside some of that money to re-cover my screens, and with emulsion already on the way, there may be new fabric patterns in the near future. Let's hope the image burning goes mmmuuucchhh smoother than last time! If I ever have any spare work hours to try it, that is...
