Asian Drop-in Soup

I put together a recipe for the Asian Drop-in Soup that I posted about a lonnng time ago. It's mostly a recipe for the Ginger Asian Broth, and then a list of ideas for fillers to use in the soup. Set out a few bowls of the fillers and you & your guests can each put together your own soup ~ easy, a lot of fun, & you won't have to worry about picky eaters!

This is a pretty simple version (since most of the fillers are raw or precooked), but it would be fun to do something similar with other broths & a selection of cooked veggies, pastas, potato slices & meats. Make a few broths & you could have a soup party!

Hey Tiffany, where would I find wonton strips? I've never looked for these before.

They have them in our produce section ~ there are a few shelves mixed in with salad toppings. The brand we use has a really delicious ginger flavor that adds a lot to the soup, or are tasty just to snack on!

If you can't find them in produce, I'd check the salad dressing or Asian sections, or you can cut won ton wrappers into strips and fry them yourself.

Okay, I'll see if I can find the wonton strips in those spots.

Hey, I checked out that candy cane link today. Super cute heart suckers! I just printed it out. Finally a use for all those candy canes!

Thanks Tiffany!
